About ACTivate Project
What we do:
ACTivate Project was created to offer a different kind of support — one that is human, peer-led, and focused on what matters to each individual. We recognise that life can feel overwhelming at times, and that many people struggle with difficult thoughts, emotions, and experiences. ACTivate offers a space where you don’t have to face that alone.
Our approach:
Our work is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) principles, but delivered in a simple, accessible, and non-clinical way.We focus on helping people:
- Become more aware of their thoughts and emotions
- Make space for difficult experiences
- Take small, meaningful steps towards what matters
- There is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with — you can take part in a way that feels right for you.
Peer-led support:
ACTivate is shaped by lived experience. We believe that connection, understanding, and shared experience can play an important role in recovery. Our groups are designed to feel welcoming, respectful, and supportive — where people can learn from both the sessions and each other.
Our vision:
Our aim is to create safe, inclusive spaces where people feel supported to move forward — at their own pace. We hope to make this kind of support more accessible within communities, alongside existing services.
Working with organisations
ACTivate Project is interested in working with local organisations, services, and partners to deliver community-based support.
We are currently developing pilot programmes and welcome opportunities to collaborate and explore how ACTivate could support different communities.
